WEDDING SEASON IS HERE!!!
For those of us who are still single yet ignoring DMs and text messages, the dreaded season is upon us, the season of love, style, glamour and honestly bride envy. As it gets warmer, we are bombarded with occasions, festivities and activities which can sometimes take a toll on our closet and wallet and so when a host gives you the leeway to dress whichever way you deem fit, we are more than happy to jump on that bandwagon.
This is one wedding look I love because I was allowed my own creativity and not bound by aso-ebi duties. It is argued that guests should not wear white so they don’t outshine the bride however, it is obvious that the newer brides in this era are non-conformists and so white isn’t as significant as it used to be or maybe brides aren’t as insecure🤔. Nowadays, brides are taking risks enough to give our mums a heart attack. (It’s their day as well no?)
Anyways, this bespoke dress was all I dreamed it to be, from the fabric which I got from a random fabric store in Midtown West Manhattan to the design which I envisioned for my body type, it was a match made in Style Heaven. Furthermore, with a drop waist baby doll design, there was this illusion of a longer torso balancing the upper part of my body and paired the dress with the right sandals, my simple look was elevated.
