One Style fits all?

A lot of people that know me know I LOVE jumpsuits alongside of course anything with pockets, its my kryptonite. lol. Anyways back to the gist of the story, in addition to my list of loves, I love Asos and fortunately, Asos is the best place to find jumpsuits of all kinds for all shapes and sizes basically a win-win situation except when its the wrong design for said body.

I got this really cute jumpsuit on Asos, I must confess, it was love at first sight. The color and silhouette seemed perfect for me. Before I go on, I want to emphasize that all body shapes are beautiful however, certain styles are not for certain body types. After trying this jumpsuit on, first thing I noticed was it wasn’t flattering for my body type thus dressing it up proved more difficult than I anticipated.

Problem: The design was a straight cut so I looked boxy whichever way I wore it, I looked amorphous and that didn’t work for my body type.

Solution: After much contemplation, I concluded that for next time (there will be a next time. lol) breaking the silhouette will be best so it emphasizes curves. Clothing accessories such as a duster or jacket will elongate the torso.

Conclusively, for curvier women I hope this post helps because this helped me understand my body more. In addition, no matter how beautiful an outfit is or in this case a jumpsuit, you have to understand your body’s dynamic and dress it as such. Sure there will be trials and errors but also know that the end game is knowing and wearing clothes that flatter you.
